Andrew Philon, School Liaison, from the GEAR UP program at Auburn University visited with the 8th grade today and talked about the program. GEAR UP (Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs) is a pre-college program designed to guide middle school and high school students on the path to college and provide tools for academic success.
There is no cost to participate in any GEAR UP activities or services. Participation in GEAR UP Achieve enables students to access a scholarship available to accredited institutions of higher learning upon program completion.
