📣 Linden City Schools Dress Code Update ❤️🤍💙 We're excited to announce a dress code update for the 2026–2027 school year! After listening to feedback from our students, the Linden City Schools Board approved a change that gives every student more flexibility while maintaining a neat and professional appearance. Dress Code: 🔹 Polo Shirts: Red, White, or Royal Blue 🔹 Pants: Khaki, Navy Blue, or Black 🔹 Backpacks: Clear or Mesh What's New? All students at Linden Elementary, George P. Austin Junior High, and Linden High School may wear any of the approved polo shirt colors. Students are no longer assigned specific shirt colors based on their school. We are excited to share that our school’s report card score has grown from 71 in 2023–2024 to 75 in 2024–2025! 📈

Just like The Little Engine That Could, we kept saying, “I think I can, I think I can,” and our hard work, dedication, and perseverance have paid off. Every teacher, staff member, student, and family played a part in this success, and together we’re proving that small steps lead to big achievements. 🚂💪

We’re proud to share that Principal Tonya Starks, who also serves as our dedicated Cheer Coach, wrote and received the Power to Play Grant from Alabama Power in the amount of $2,500! ⚡💙💛

This grant will be used to purchase new uniforms for our amazing Cheer Squad! The cheerleaders were absolutely ecstatic when they heard the news and can’t wait to show off their new look as they continue to spread school spirit and pride! 📣✨
